Every trade on Pi42 incurs a small fee, depending on whether you’re adding or removing liquidity.

USDT Deposit & INR Conversion Fees
Users can deposit USDT and convert it into INR on Pi42. The platform charges the following:
- Transaction Fee: Free
- GST on Transaction Fee: Not Applicable
- 1% TDS: Applicable under the IT Act, 1961

Funding Fees
Funding fees are exchanged between long and short positions periodically to balance the spot and futures prices.
- Charged every 4 or 8 hours depending on the token pair
- Applicable only if your position is open during the funding interval
Funding Fee Formula:
Funding Amount = Mark Price × Contract Size × Funding Rate
If your position is closed before the funding time, no fee is applied.
Liquidation Fees
When your margin falls below the maintenance threshold, Pi42 will automatically liquidate your position to limit losses.
You will be charged:
- Taker Fee (as applicable to the pair)
- Insurance Clearance Fee: 0.50%

Do I have to pay any tax when trading on Pi42?
Pi42 supports INR-margined crypto futures, so
- There is no 1% TDS deduction.
- No 30% VDA tax on profits.
Instead, only standard income tax rules apply, and you’re allowed to offset trading losses based on applicable laws.
What are funding fees, and when are they charged?
Funding fees are periodic payments made between long and short traders to balance price differences between futures and spot markets.
- These are charged every 4 or 8 hours, depending on the token.
- You’ll only pay or receive funding if your position is open during the scheduled funding time.
What fees are charged if my position is liquidated?
If your leveraged position falls below the margin requirement, it will be auto-liquidated.
You’ll be charged:
- A Taker Fee (as applicable), and
- An Insurance Clearance Fee of 0.50% of the position’s notional value.
